Iran initiated a significant attack against Israel.

The attack reportedly involved 181 ballistic missiles, with Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claiming to use the newly developed Fattah-1. Iran claimed to have targeted the Nevatim Air Base (which houses the F-35), Hatserim Base (which houses the F-15) and Tel Nof Base (located in Tel-Aviv). Iran claimed the attack was in response to the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, Ismail Haniyeh and various IRGC-QF commanders. 

Israel and the US have publicly stated that the Iranian attack did not cause significant damage with no reported casualties, with President Biden declaring "the Iranian attack appears to have been defeated and ineffective."

Israel has vowed to conduct a severe response targeting Iranian targets throughout the region. Israel continues to conduct air strikes across Lebanon and has initiated limited offensive operations in Southern Lebanon. 

Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets on targets across Israel and continues to prepare defensive operations in anticipation of an IDF offensive.

The United States acknowledge that it's military forces intercepted various Iranian ballistic missiles and has stated its unequivocal support to any Israel military response. 

The region is at risk of seeing a regional war between the United States, Israel, Iran and its proxies. Although there are attempts to achieve a cease fire, all diplomatic efforts have so far failed.
